Book 1 Friends for life

The four children are selected by the head teacher to take part in a project after they finish top of their year in different subjects. She would like them to assist the kids that are struggling in the subjects that they excel in and to work as a team to improve their grades. While they are waiting in the classroom a lorry driver fails to exert the hand brake when he parks his vehicle and goes to the shop. The lorry rolls down a steep hill and crashes into the school building. No-one is seriously injured but it traps the four children inside until the emergency services have checked the building is secure enough to get them out without any additional risks. The children start chatting and get to know each other better and realise that they are from different ethnic backgrounds. They get to learn a little about each other’s different cultures and arrange to visit one another’s homes when they get free to learn a bit more and that’s exactly what they do and they become inseparable friends.

This first book in the series is both informative and educational for both children and parents.

Book 2 “Team work”

The children’s friendships are growing stronger and stronger. They work as a team to complete tasks that enable them to raise money for the charity of their choice. The boys organise a sponsored run around the local athletics track and the girls get all their old toys and things together with the help of some old friends that they think will sell and arrange some tables at the Village Hall Jumble Sale. The children are always together to encourage and support each other every step of the way.

After they have finished raising funds they were looking forward to spending the evening at Agrippas parents house as they had arranged to camp out in their back garden under the supervision of his parents. When it starts to rain it puts a dampener on the evening – or does it?
